About this URL encode/decode tool
Type text to percent-encode it live, or paste an encoded string to decode it back instantly. Two encoding modes are available: encodeURIComponent escapes every reserved character including =, & and ?, which is right for query parameter values, while encodeURI keeps URL structure characters like :, /, ? and & intact for whole URLs.
Decoding uses decodeURIComponent and reports a clear error on malformed % escape sequences such as a truncated %E4. Character counts for both sides update live next to the labels. Everything follows RFC 3986 percent-encoding and runs entirely in your browser, so query strings and tokens never leave your device.
